VOICE MODIFICATION SOFTWAREWorkshop presented by:Evangelos T. Himonides, Institute of Education, London |
1. Sing & See "Visual display of the singing voice Sing & See is the singing training software that teachers and students all over the world are now using to improve their learning experience. It shows the singer and teacher visual displays that represent the voice - pitch, loudness, and timbre. These displays can show details of the voice that are sometimes difficult for students to hear. http://www.singandsee.com/ " |
2. Antares Kantos "Voice and Audio controlled synthesizer Kantos is a software-based synthesizer that finally liberates you from the tyranny of MIDI, keyboards, controllers or, in fact, anything that stands between you and the music you hear in your mind. Whether you are looking for an alternative to conventional controllers, or are looking to produce electronic music with a level of dynamic expression that's simply not otherwise possible, kantos 1.0 will, quite literally, change the way you make music. 3. WinSingad "WinSingad is software for use in singing lessons to provide visual feedback to support the teacher and student as they work on various aspects of singing. It runs on a PC under Windows and has been compared (favourably!) to the mirror as another tool available to the teacher which can be employed in support of the learning process as appropriate. A recent research project, known as VoxEd, between the University of York and the Institute of Education in London funded by the UK's Arts and Humanities Research Board, tracked the use of WinSingad with teachers and students in two singing studios, one in York and one in Guildford. Singing students and teachers involved in the project were unanimous in stating that when it was used, WinSingad enhanced their learning/teaching experience."
